Last Minute Valentine’s Day Activities for Adults with Back Pain

Whatever you decide to do this Valentine’s Day, you don’t have to do it with back pain. Use the Chirp Wheel to help yourself and loved ones get through the day. Simply roll out before or after your Valentine’s Day activity to loosen up your muscles and feel better than you’ve felt in a long time. If you’re not a big planner, here are some last minute activities you can do, even with back pain. Have some fun with it!

  1. Start a new tradition. Whether it’s making a heart-shaped pizza together, going for a walk, or buying a new kitchen appliance, starting a new tradition can be something to look forward to while spending time together.
  2. Play a board game. Pick a game from the closet you both love and haven’t played in a while. Just make sure to sit at the table instead of the floor so you don’t hurt your back.
  3. Watch a movie. Take a nice comfortable seat on the soft couch, turn a movie on, and relax. Plus, de-stressing can also help reduce back pain.
  4. Learn something new. Whether you watch some cooking videos on how to make a dish you’ve always wanted to make or learn a new fishing technique, learning something new can be something fun you share together. Pick something that you’re both excited about. Plus learning a new language to prepare for a future vacation is something anyone with back pain can do.
  5. Serve each other. Be the one to clean out the car, volunteer to do the dishes, or put the kids to bed, whatever it is you usually don’t do. Use this day as an excuse to help your loved one feel good. If you feel daunted by the activity you’d like to do for your loved one because of your back pain, remember to use the Chirp Wheel to feel better and give you some extra energy to do the task.
  6. Spend some time outside. Go stargazing. Take a hike together. Play a game of basketball. Getting outside will help with your back pain and can be romantic.
  7. Be a tourist in your own town. We’re sure you haven’t been to every single place yet. Try a new restaurant, go to the library and pick out some new books or a movie to rent, or take a warm mall walk. Getting up and about will help relieve muscle tension and back pain.
  8. Build something together. Go big by building a treehouse in the backyard or go small by printing pictures and making a scrapbook of your time together. Whatever you choose, there’s sure to be some bonding. And if you have your Chirp Wheel, back pain doesn’t have to stop you from finishing the project.
  9. Write letters. Write a few letters to those you love: grandparents, parents, each other. Plus, going for a walk to the mailbox after you write them will help you loosen up your tight back.
  10. Take a bath. Taking a bath is amazing for back pain relief. Add in some bath salts and light a candle for extra relaxation.
  11. Give a massage, without the hassle. Get the Chirp Wheel Pro for your loved one or yourself so they can have a hands-free massage anytime they need one.
  12. Do yoga together. Stretching is great for back pain relief. Doing yoga together can be a fun bonding experience, especially if one of you is more flexible than the other. Laugh about it.
